We always welcome visitors to the school. Today the Jane Austen Society visited the Elementary class dressed in Regency era clothing. They shared about life for women in England during the 1700's. They talked about the rules for fashion and how women did not have the right to own money or property. The Elementary children had a chance to try on some of the fashionable hats from Jane Austen's time. The Mount Dora Jane Austen Fest is February 10,11 & 12. They will be hosting their Regency Ball in Montessori at Roseborough's gym on Saturday, February 11.
